Glazes & Rubs
Glazes and rubs are two popular methods of adding flavour to various foods, particularly meats. While they share some similarities, they are distinct techniques with unique characteristics. A glaze is a sweet or savoury liquid coating applied to food, typically meats, during cooking. They add flavour, moisture and a shiny appearance to the food. A rub is a mixture of dry spices and seasonings applied to meat before cooking. Rubs are an excellent method of adding bold flavours to meats without adding liquids that might dilute the flavour.
